Your privacy choices
Cookie policy
What we store on your device, why we use it and how you can change your choice at any time.
How cookies work
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Some are necessary for a website or requested service to work, while optional cookies can measure how visitors use a site.
City Clearance does not place optional analytics cookies or download Google Analytics until you actively accept analytics. Rejecting analytics does not limit access to the website.
Cookies we use
Necessary preference cookie
city_clearance_consent is a first-party cookie that records whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. It is retained for up to six months so we do not repeatedly ask the same question. This cookie is necessary to respect and remember your privacy choice.
Administration cookies
Secure session cookies may be used on the restricted administration area to authenticate authorised staff. They are not used to track public visitors and normally expire when the session ends or according to the secure login configuration.
Optional Google Analytics cookies
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie to distinguish visits and produce aggregate usage reports. These cookies may remain for up to two years, subject to our Google Analytics configuration.
Advertising storage, ad personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our implementation. We do not currently use advertising cookies.
Bing Webmaster Tools and IndexNow
Bing verification is provided through a static verification tag, while IndexNow notifications are sent by our server when public content changes. These search-engine services do not place visitor cookies or load a Bing analytics tracker in your browser, so they do not require an analytics preference toggle.
Your consent and choices
Optional analytics relies on your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and UK data protection law. You can accept, reject or change your choice without losing access to the site.
Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. If you withdraw analytics consent, we signal that change to Google Analytics and remove first-party Google Analytics cookies accessible to this website.
Third parties and further information
Google processes analytics information when analytics is accepted. You can read Google's privacy policy for more information.
Opening links to WhatsApp, Facebook or another external website takes you to that provider, where its own cookie and privacy rules apply.
For how we handle enquiry and personal information, read our privacy policy.
